About the N.C.C. AND N.S.S. rooms
National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.)
The institute propels the students to get inclined towards the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces as a Cadet in N.C.C.
The cadets of our institute represent the 1 and 8 Maharashtra Battalion, Mumbai B Group – Army Unit.
“Unity and Discipline” being the aphorism of N.C.C., the cadets inculcate self-discipline, leadership qualities, camaraderie, altruistic and secular service.
Cadets are trained in civil and self-defence viz. rifle training with SLR 7.52 mm self-loading, martial arts, drills, physical training, and disaster management.
The cadets also participate in the APC Camp for minimum 3 days, in outreach they are trained in map reading, obstacle training, weapon training, social awareness, health and hygiene and drill competition.
Cadets also involve themselves in regular parades, National Ceremonies, College Events like Annual Athletic Meet and also serve the community with activities like, Crowd controlling during festivals, Beach Cleanup after festivals, Tree Plantation and Blood donation.
National Service Scheme (N.S.S.)
This cell provides a platform for outreach and extension activities with a motto of “Not Me But You”. Students enroll in the volunteer service and reach out to the society and help not only the human community but also other living creatures in the environment.
N.S.S. in our college comprises of two units of 150 dedicated student volunteers guided by two trained program officers.
N.S.S. has crowned the institute with a tiara of being a pioneer among the Colleges in the University of Mumbai.
The team N.S.S. has executed various schemes through their activities viz. Swachata Abhiyan, social awareness, blood donation, Thalassemia checkup, environment protection, social reforms, health education campaign, relief work and many more.
N.S.S. volunteers also indulge themselves in the annual, all residential, special rural camp of seven days, in helping the community native folks with hygiene and sanitization, building temporary dams, cleanliness, tree plantation and survey.
