Motto of N.C.C.
“Unity and Discipline” is the motto of N.C.C., as decided in the 12th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 12 October, 1980.

Aim
- To develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Secular outlook, Spirit of adventure and Ideals of selfless service amongst country’s youth
- To create a reserve of Organized, Trained and Motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, to serve the Nation
- To provide a favourable environment which will motivate the nations youth to join the armed forces
N.C.C. at S.I.W.S. College
The college NCC unit works in co-ordination with the NCC units of various Mumbai Colleges as a part of 1 Maharashtra Boys Battalion (Mumbai A), 5 Maharashtra Girl Battalion (Mumbai A) and 8 Maharashtra Girl Battalion (Mumbai B) groups.
Objectives:

- Regular Parades are held on every Sunday mornings at Khalsa college ground
- Lectures and Demonstrations help cadets in appearing for B & C certification Examination
- Annual Training Camps – Camp normally involves 10 days training period. It provides exposure to cadets on wide areas like rifle, drill, physical training & First aid.
