Grow your skills
An Interesting activity called “Grow your skills” was conducted on 30th July 2015, for the students. The programme was designed to enhance the personality of students and to bridge the gap between corporate expectations and student skills. Online programme on Skill Development is envisaged to enable the students to get placements in corporate sector.
Values
- It would inculcate team work, sportsman spirit.
- On the 23rd July 2013 AD making competition was conducted in the gymkhana hall of the college. Seven team of three students per team took part in the competition. All the students were very enthusiastic and showed utmost interest in the competition.
- A theme based competition where a product category “Health Drink” was given and an hours time was allotted to the participants.
- The Participants were judged on parameters like creativity, presentation and neatness, each carrying 10 marks adding to a total of 30 marks
- Commerce Association organised several events. The details are as follows:
- Rajiv Gandhi Entrepreneurship Development Programme:
- This programme was organized in Association with ICT (Chennai) for 15 days from 13th July, 2015 to enable students to become entrepreneurs. At the end of the programme, the students made power point presentations of their “Dream Projects”.
Case Study
“Case Study Competition” was held on 14th August 2015 which saw on extra-ordinary response from the student participants. The idea of holding this competition was to enhance the analytical skills of the students and to encourage out-of-the-box thinking amongst them.
Industrial visit
An Industrial visit to Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur was organised for B.Com. students between 25th November 2015 to 1st December, 2015. The visit was organized to give them exposure to the practical world. 49 students were accompanied by 4 teachers. The students visited Stone Park- Marble factory at Udaipur, which manufacture tiles. They had an interactive session with the management. They asked questions regarding supply of labour, input of raw material, export market, machinery maintenance, etc. which were answered promptly by the management.
