About Department
The Department of Master of Commerce with specialization in Business Management & Advanced Accountancy started in the year 2002-03 with an intake of 60 students for each stream , the intake capacity of Advanced Accountancy was further upgraded to 80 students and Master of Commerce with specialization in Banking and Finance was started in the year 2016-17 with an intake capacity of 60 students. The Master of Commerce is a two year Degree Course divided into four semesters . The Department follows the course designed and engages lectures in various subjects as per the syllabus prescribed by the University of Mumbai.
The department offers quality education in the higher studies of Commerce and develops human resources with social values catering to the needs of both industries and academia at the national and international level.
The curriculum of Master of Commerce covers the advance learning in the areas of Finance, Accountancy, Taxation, Banking, Investment, Capital Markets, Corporate Management and Project Work culminating presentations, this further nourishes the ability of the student to make in-depth study on the burning issues in the in the Business arena and prepare them to face the future world with greater confidence.
Apart from traditional class room lectures, we conduct debate among the students to involve them with utmost interest. Students are encouraged to undertake research activities, and project works which have practical career significance.
The faculties use the teaching methods that most effectively and efficiently achieve desired educational objectives, employ context based instruction throughout the program of instruction and employ best practices when using any instructional methodology. Sincere efforts are taken to provide the highest standard of learning to students and shape them to get highest position in their careers.
