Education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and runs a riot there; undigested all your life; We must have life-building, man-making, character making assimilation of ideas.SWAMI VIVEKANADA
Education at SIWS aims at developing a holistic personality. The first and foremost requirement of education is to make children fit physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. Devoid of Satya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and Ahimsa – all education is zero.
Value education means a positive effort for bringing about a synthesis of physical, intellectual, emotional, aesthetic and spiritual values in a human being. If contemporary education is to be value-based, it can never be done without teachers themselves understanding, appreciating and upholding the life-sustaining moral values.
Teaching is not job. It is a mission and vision for life and posterity. The teachers’ job is to nurture the students with right thoughts. Education at present with its emphasis on consumerism and competition for achievement has sidelined its central concern for the full development of the social, moral, aesthetic and spiritual side of human personality. Teachers are nation-builders and they play a crucial role in developing the society. The spiritual bankruptcy and commercialization of education are two main causes for the deteriorating educational standards in India today. We at the SIWS, enterprise to link value based education with academic excellence which is engrained in the culture of the organization in a myriad ways.
An educational institution would be popular only if it satisfies the essential needs of students, creates employment opportunities and is utilitarian. SIWS’ focus is to make teaching student-friendly and socially beneficial concentrating on Need, Affordability and Worth of the service.
Education can never be a neutral process; it will always be value based. Teachers are great Role Models and our children, the future generation start from only where we end.
The Principal’s role is increasingly recognized as critical to the organization’s vibrancy, its prospects for innovative change and its overall success. I have embarked upon this role with a lot of passion and urgency to upgrade the educational standards of all children. I’ve recognized that my job as a leader is to generate a culture of learning and feeling accountable to our students and their families collectively, which would ensure professional success and lift the achievement of every one.
Extending my good wishes to all at SIWS for a great Academic Year!
